NEW DELHI - An suspicious unclaimed object lying at Jinjar Rail Yatri Nivas, just 100-200 metres from the New Delhi Railway Station, on Monday evening triggered panic among the passer bys who feared that it could be any explosive.

A bomb squad was called in to examine the object for any explosive device. It was found that an iron rod covered by platinum wire was lying at Jinjar Yatri Nivas.

Even though the Delhi Police denied the object to be any bomb, the Railway police sought help of the National Security Guard (NSG) for proper investigation of the suspicious object.

As hardly a week left for the Republic Day celebrations, the security agencies are not leaving any stone unturned. (ANI )
