NEW DELHI - Former Defence Minister and senior Janata Dal (United) leader George Fernandes was admitted to a hospital in the capital on Saturday for routine check up. He has been suffering from neurological complications for the last few months.
Authorities at the Max hospital, where George has been admitted for medical attention, however, assured that there was ‘nothing much to worry about and he is likely to be discharged from the hospital by the evening’.
Fernandes, 80, visited the hospital on Friday for a medical check-up.
Fernandes contested the Lok Sabha election in 2009 as an independent candidate from Muzzaffarpur in Bihar. (ANI)
