BANGALORE - External Affairs Minister SM Krishna on Sunday condemned the attack on 21-year-old Indian student Nitin Garg in Melbourne, and warned the Australian Government that if it does not take action on the ongoing attacks, India will be forced to take a firm decision.
Krishna added that in spite of repeated appeal to the Government of Australia, there has been an increase in the attacks on Indians, which is not good.
“The stabbing of the Indian student is brutal and I hope the Australian Government will take necessary action and not force India to look to the other ways,” said Krishna.
“India will not tolerate any more,” he added.
The External Affairs Minister further said that he was in constant touch with the Australian High Commission and getting all the updates on the happening.
Some unidentified assailants had on Sunday stabbed 21-year-old Indian Nitin Garg in his abdomen, while he was on his way to work.
Nitin was later taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where he died, claimed television channel reports. (ANI)
