Andhra Governor to submit report on state’s situation to Centre

NEW DELHI - Chaattisgarh Governor E S L Narasimhan who is holding the additional charge of Andhra Pradesh is likely to submit a report on Monday to the Union Government about the prevailing situation in the state.

Narasimhan is expected to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Home Minister P Chidambaram a day before all party meeting.

The Centre has invited all the eight recognised parties in the state-the Congress, BJP, TDP, TRS, CPI, CPM, PRP and MIM to discuss the Telangana issue on Tuesday in New Delhi.

Narasimhan is likely to brief the Centre about the views of different political parties about the formation of separate Telangana state, which he gathered during his recent interaction with political parties in Hyderabad.

The Centre is also closely watching the movement of Naxal eliments who are being pressed out of Chattisgarh and Maharashtra so as to prevent them from using Telangana issue as a chance to relocate their bases. (ANI)
