LONDON - Two girls in the US, who devised a plan to catch those admiring their bottoms, did so by installing a discreet camera on to their jeans.

The New Zealand duo, who are both actors, roam the streets of Los Angeles and the “ass-cam” shows exactly who is stealing a glance at their rears.

The footage from the camera showed that besides men there were also some women, who ogled at their butts.

The video, which has been uploaded on to YouTube, has become an Internet sensation and attracted nearly 500,000 hits in only three days.

The girls are Auckland-reared Reanin Johannink, who, according to her Twitter account, is a “singer, TV presenter, actress and voice over artist”, and Jess Gurunathan, a “singer-songwriter, TV presenter and free spirit”.

“Have you ever wondered what happens behind your back? Well, we have figured out a way to bust people - check out ass-cam!” the Daily Mail quoted Johannink as saying.

The footage from their adventures is edited into a neat two-minute package, and Amanda Blank’s tune ‘Something Bigger, Something Better’ is played over the top, in a tongue in cheek manner.

As the numbers continue to clock up, the troublesome twosomes, who are back in their homeland, have batted around ideas as to where they will next employ their ass-cam.

“I think we should head to France to do another ‘Rear View Girls’ French style haha,” wrote Johannink on Twitter. (ANI)
