CALIFORNIA - Former Alaska Governor and 2008 Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin has said that if she does make a bid for the White House in 2012, she will continue “having that thick skin and steel spine.”

“I would continue on the same course of not really caring what other people say about me or worrying about the things that they make up,” Politico quoted her, as saying.

Asked why she was not attending the annual Conservative Political Action Conference next week in Washington, Palin alluded to the anger voiced by some conservatives about CPAC’s decision to invite a group representing gay Republicans.

Palin was in Santa Barbara, Calif., Friday night where she spoke to a conservative audience in honor of the centennial of President Ronald Reagan’s birth. (ANI)
