JAMMU - A day after the Jammu and Kashmir cabinet decided to hold the budget session of the state legislature from Feb 28, Governor N.N. Vohra Saturday formally summoned the session.

A statement issued by the Raj Bhavan said the governor would be addressing the legislators in the house Feb 28.

The governor has called upon the members of the Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly and the legislative council to assemble Feb 28 in the Central Hall of the legislature building in the New Secretariat premises in Jammu, the statement said.

A cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Friday had decided to call the session Feb 28.

The last session was held in Srinagar in September-October last year. That session was boycotted by the opposition.
