NEW DELHI - External Affairs Minister S.M Krishna will visit Australia on Wednesday on a three-day visit to attend the third round of the framework dialogue with his Australian counterpart Kevin Rudd.

Briefing reporters here, External Affairs Ministry Official Spokesperson Vishnu Prakash said that the issue of Uranium sale may come up for discussion in the framework dialogue meeting between Krishna and Rudd.

“A host of bilateral, regional and global issues, including closer collaboration on security issues in Asia and in multilateral economic groupings like G20 will come up for discussion,” he added.

Both sides are also expected to deliberate on many levels including economic and strategic spheres.

They are also likely to discuss the evolving East Asian architecture and India’s bid to join the Asia Pacific Economic Community (APEC).

During his visit, Krishna will call on the Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard.

He would also meet the Indian media, and will also attend the Indian community reception at Melbourne.

Krishna’s visit is said to mark the concerted efforts that the two sides are making at the government-to-government level to take bilateral relationship to the next level by encouraging high-level dialogue. (ANI)
