Couple thrown off moving train in Bihar, husband dead

ALLAHABAD/LUCKNOW - A train ticket examiner in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, has been charged with throwing a ticketless couple off a train.

While the middle-aged man died after being thrown off the moving Swatantra Senani Express train, his wife sustained serious injuries, and is reported to be in critical condition in a hospital. reportedly by the (TTE) for travelling in a reserved compartment despite having general unreserved tickets.

As per reports, Ramsewhar Mandal and his wife Phulki Devi of Sahasra were travelling on the train with a general unreserved ticket from Allahabad to Bhagalpur.

The incident is said to have taken place shortly after the train left Allahabad, but it came to light late on Thursday evening.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) is investigating the incident. (ANI)
