Pak doctor accused of blasphemy released

HYDERABAD - Hyderabad Cantonment police has released a Pakistan doctor who was accused of blasphemy.

Dr Noshad Walyani who was booked on Monday, according to sources.

According to the Daily Times, while the police refused to confirm or deny his release, Dr. Walyani was booked under Section 295-C on the complaint of Mohammad Faizan on Saturday after he was handed over to police by a group of enraged representatives of different pharmaceutical companies for his alleged blasphemous remarks.

Dr. Walyani was shifted to the CIA centre of Hyderabad in an armored personnel carrier soon after the case was registered.

The incident took place on December 9 and the case was filed on December 11. (ANI)
