Peshawar bomb blast kills bus driver, wounds children

PESHAWAR - A school bus was severely damaged in a bomb blast here on Monday.

Police said the driver of the bus was killed and several school children were injured in the incident that took place in the congested Bhana Marri area on the outskirts of Peshawar.

“The driver died in the blast. We have taken the two injured schoolchildren to the hospital,” Geo News quoted a senior police official, Mohammad Ijaz Khan, as saying.

The local administration said that the type of bomb used, suggested that it was the handiwork of Taliban militants. (ANI)
