NEW DELHI - Professionals from the northeast based outside the region have made significant contributions in their respective fields. A Manipuri physiotherapist, Dr. Soubam Prabha, who is based in New Delhi, is one such person.

Dr. Prabha, 25, is a physiotherapist, who provided medical services during the XIXth Commonwealth Games.

“When I was in the Commonwealth Games, I had met few Northeast people there, who were technicians, volunteers and other professionals. They had given good service to the people. And, everyone has appreciated their work,” said Dr. Prabha.

“I think she has done a great job, coming all the way from Northeast and doing everything on her own. It is quite difficult but she has done it very well. She is very clear about her goal. She is hard working. She will surely get success in future,” said Dr. Neha Mehta, Dr. Prabha’s colleague

Dr. Prabha completed her bachelor of physiotherapy (BPT) from SIMS College of Physiotherapy, Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.

Afterwards, she joined the Tagore Hospital and Gold’s Gym in Delhi as a consultant physiotherapist.

“It is not about whether I’m from Northeast or some other place. If you are good in your work and do it properly, then you’ll be able to go through any professional hurdle and do great in your work,” Dr. Prabha said.

Dr. Prabha lives with her younger brothers and a sister in New Delhi.

Professionals from the northeast have received nationwide recognition for their excellent skills. (ANI)
