Maoists behead a farmer in Jharkhand

JAMTARA - A group of Maoists beheaded a farmer in Doodhapani region in Jharkhand’s Jamtara district.

The Maoists suspected the farmer named Pradeep Singh as a police informer.

Briefing mediapersons, M P Lakda, Superintendent of Police, Jamtara said that the number of persons who attacked Singh is not yet confirmed.

” The number of people cannot be confirmed but they were more than five, they could be six or ten also. They shot him and then chopped off his head,” said Lakda.

Sujeet Singh, a relative of the deceased, said that when he came to the fields, he found the dead body of his uncle.

“When I came and saw that there were too many people in the field and the beheaded dead body of my uncle was lying there,” he added. (ANI)
