London Weather Condition To Worsen

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (GaeaTimes.com)- Tuesday morning, the residents of London woke up to witness snowfall and blizzard that has by now affected the majority of UK. The weather condition is set to worsen, as per the prediction of the met office. The forecast says that up to 8 cm of snowfall can take place in London in the upcoming days. The snowfall can also hit areas like the South East parts of the UK and Wales. The snowfall in fact has started taking its toll on civic life in London. A South Eastern train bound for Ashford got stranded with 100 passengers on board with power failure after heavy snowfall. The arctic weather condition in the Northern part of the country is getting intensified and more intense snowfall is expected.

Apart from London, some regions in Sussex, Gloucestershire and Birmingham also witnessed moderate snowfall on Tuesday. The forecast indicates that this freezing spell will last for the next few weeks and by the end of December, the temperature will nosedive further. A weather office employee has said that some parts of UK including London may stay under freezing temperature even in daytime in the near future. The chill will be felt even more as the north-easterly wind shows no sign of diminishing. It has picked up speed and that explains why the chill has set in.

The weather condition of London is about to bring bad news for the motorists who plan to venture out The roads will become slippery and accident prone owing to the increasing snowfall. However, not all residents are complaining about the chilly weather and snowfall. On the contrary, some of them have welcomed the snowfall on Twitter.
