Ten Maoists surrender in Andhra Pradesh

VISAKHAPATNAM - Ten Maoists surrendered before the police in Narsipatnam town of Visakhapatnam district on Sunday.

According to police sources, the group led by G Chinakka voluntarily surrendered before the District Police OSD (Operations) Trivikram Verma.

All the rebels are facing charges of attacks on village sarpanchs during Maoists shutdown call in the State.

According to sources, the surrendered Maoists who belong to Kannavaram village of Koyyuru mandal in Visakhapatnam district, will be first counselled and later set free. (ANI)
