LONDON - The cost of security arrangements for the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton is expected to cross a mammoth 80 million pounds.

Thousands of cops will be on duty in a huge Scotland Yard operation, which will be meticulously planned for months in advance.

Apart from thousands of policemen lining the streets, there will be large numbers of policemen held in reserve in case anarchist groups try to hijack the event by trying to spark major disorder.

Security experts say the Royal couple will be a prime target for Al Qaeda-inspired extremists or dissident Irish Republican terrorists on their big day, reports the Daily Express.

But the biggest threat is likely to come from lone stalkers and fanatics who are obsessed with Prince William and Kate.

The day is also likely to attract paparazzi from all around the world. (ANI)
