Gun battle breaks out between Maoists and Bihar police in Chapra

CHAPRA - While Bihar underwent second phase of State Assembly polls on Sunday, a fierce gun battle broke out between the naxals and Bihar Police in Chapra District in the evening.

The incident sparked off after naxals blow up Makar Block President’s house in Saran District.

According to late evening reports on a private channel, over 100 Naxals were present at the location and engaged with the police personnel.

Saran District is one of the thirty-seven districts of Bihar state. The district, part of Saran Division, is also known as Chapra district (ANI)
