Three Lashkar-e-Taiba militants arrested in Jaipur

JAIPUR - Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) in Jaipur arrested three suspected militants belonging to Pakistan-based group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Nishachandra Ali of Lalgarh in Bikaner, Arun Jain of Mahi Darwaza in Nagaur and Hafiz Abdul Majid of Jhalawar were arrested on Friday.

The accused were planning to leave for Pakistan for terror training.

They were caught from Bikaner on Monday and interrogation proved that they were involved in anti-national activities.

A Public Prosecutor in Jaipur Court Anil Solanki said that the accused were arrested for carrying out terrorist activities, smuggling of counterfeit currency and inciting communal tension in the country.

“They were booked under sections 13, 17, 18A, 18B, 20, 21 for conducting criminal activities. The investigations are still going on,” said Solanki.

During interrogation it was confirmed that the arrested militants belonged to LeT. (ANI)
