WELLINGTON - A man in New Zealand has revealed the ordeal he went through after his father allegedly forced him to have sex with his sisters.

The man, now 38-years-old, said his father forced him to have sex with his intellectually disabled older sister, while he sat in the room holding a weapon - possibly a gun.

“We just had to do it. We were both crying and he was just like ‘hurry up’. You’re just so scared,” Stuff.co.nz quoted him as saying.

The man, whose name has been withheld, also said that just days after the alleged sexual incident with his older sister, his father held a knife to his throat and told him to sleep with his younger sister too.

Fearing for his life, the man, then aged about 13, took his sister down to a river bank where they got undressed believing their father was watching from a distance.

He also claimed he witnessed his father raping his teenage girlfriend, but was too petrified to stop it happening, and when the police made contact about the incident his father told him to lie.

Defence counsel Fergus Steedman told the man on several occasions that a sister, who will give evidence on behalf of their father next week, remembers events differently.

But he stood firm by his revelations and said he had given an honest account.

His father, now 78, is on trial in the Palmerston North District Court for allegations including raping his son’s girlfriends, lashing children with belts, indecently touching his daughters and killing family pets.

The trial, which is being presided over by Judge Les Atkins, continues next week. (ANI)
