PATNA - Veteran actor and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Shatrughan Sinha on Wednesday denied reports of a rift between him and the party saying that he bore no grudge against any party leader.

“I have that much maturity, seniority and commitment towards the party. There is no question of being annoyed. And, even if there are some issues, these kind of things happen in every house,” said Sinha.

“And, if anything happens, we would resolve it internally, inside our own party. We have a democratic process, everyone gets a chance to speak, and then, whatever our leaders decide, we obey,” he added.

Reacting to a query about him being absent from the election campaigning, Sinha said he had prior commitments as one of his Bollywood films was slated for release on Friday.

“I have already told them that I was quite busy till the 24th. I have taken them into confidence that I shall be coming here from the 24th onwards till the last phase,” he added.

The BJP is contesting the Assembly polls in Bihar as an ally of the ruling Janata Dal (United) under the banner of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

The six-phase poll for 243 seats in Bihar begins tomorrow concludes on November 20

The first phase of elections will take place tomorrow for 47 state assembly seats, the second phase on October 24, the third phase on October 28 for 48 seats, the fourth on November1 for 42 seats, the fifth phase on November 9 for 25 seats and the sixth and last phase on November 20 for 26 seats.

Counting of votes will take place on November 24.

Bihar has over 5.5 crore voters, who will exercise their franchise through Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). (ANI)
