PRATAPGARH - An artist from Pratapgarh town in West Tripura district has specialized in making miniatures of Goddess Durga.

Tapan Pal said he gradually shifted to miniatures after experimenting on various mediums.

“First I started with normal size but as I was growing up, I tried making smaller forms of Durga. First it was on coins, then on the seeds of gourds, pumpkins, sandal and even rice. This time I made Goddess Durga with her entire family on three shirt buttons,” said Pal.

Tapan Pal has won several gold medals both at national and international level. By Pinaki Das (ANI)
