LONDON - Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has been put in second position to Chris Christie by Tea Party convention delegates, for their choice for president in 2012.

Over the past year Palin, 46, has established herself as the queen of the Tea Party movement, and her endorsements have helped candidates oust established Republicans in races across the country, the Guardian reported.

But a canvass of delegates to the Tea Party Patriots convention in Richmond over the weekend put her in shock second position for their choice for president in 2012.

Out of 2,300, who attended the two-day event, more than 1,500 delegates voted, and Palin polled 13.5 percent of the votes but was topped by Chris Christie, the governor of New Jersey, by 14 percent. (ANI)
