IMPHAL - Incessant rains for last three days in Manipur have led to all major rivers here flowing above the danger level mark and affected life at different places.

Major business centres of Imphal city like Paona Bazar and Thangal Bazar have been inundated.

Due to floods, many shops in the main market areas of the city have been closed.

Moreover, several low lying areas of Imphal and its adjoining areas have been submerged, following overflowing of Nambul, Imphal and Lilong rivers.

The rain, it is feared, would affect paddy harvesting and damage standing crops.

The Meterological department, however, has forecast fine weather for the next few days. (ANI)
