NEW DELHI - Security personnel at the Vishwavidyalaya Metro station in north Delhi went into a tizzy on discovering an unclaimed bag in one of the trains Sunday, just hours before the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games.

“We found an unclaimed bag lying in the last coach of the train and feared it contained explosives. We informed the driver who took it out. Luckily, it turned out to be a false alarm,” said an eyewitness.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which looks after Metro security, informed the owner on acquiring information from an identity card in the bag.
