Bomb scare at Metro station

NEW DELHI - An unclaimed bag created a scare at the Delhi University Metro station here Sunday hours before the Commonwealth Games opened but it turned out to be a false alarm.

A witness said some passengers discovered the bag in the last coach of a train. Fearing it may contain explosives, they alerted the driver who realised it was an ordinary bag.

The Central Industrial Security Force, which looks after Metro security, traced the owner after finding his identity card in the bag.
