Reserved coach for women in Delhi Metro

NEW DELHI - Delhi Metro Saturday started reserving a coach exclusively for women.

The reserved ‘ladies’ coach’ will be the first after the driver’s cabin in every train. Children up to 12 years, accompanied by women passengers, will also be allowed to travel in the reserved coach.

The Metro is preferred by everybody as it saves time and is very affordable. It would be much easier to commute now, especially at peak hours, said a woman commuter.

Delhi Metro is the second in the world to reserve special coaches for women after Dubai.
