Paris Motor Show Make Carmakers Anxious

PARIS, FRANCE (GaeaTimes.com)- The Paris Motor Show is starting today and the top Detroit based car makers are jittery. The three big US car makers namely- Chrysler Group LLC, General Motors Co. and Ford Motor Co are going to unveil a number of new models at the event. Some of these models will go on sale in the US car market this year as it has been reported. The car market n Europe is being eyed by the US auto majors for quite some time. Ford has already unveiled the 2012 Focus lineup which has been revamped and the range has both hatchbacks and sedans. However, this model will be sold in US not before 2012 the company has said. The Focus follows the Fiesta 2011 in USA. The Fiesta was originally meant for the Europe market but later changes were made to it to cater to the need of the US users.

With Ford presenting a plethora of new models and also unwrapping refreshed versions of the existing ones, rival Gm is not far behind. GM is all set to unveil the all new Chevrolet Aveo subcompact model at the Paris Motor Show. While the company will showcase three more models at the event only Aveo will be sold in the USA. This is because the company wants to hike its share in small car segment in USA.

The Chevrolet Cruze has also got a face-lift and the mini car Spark will also be headed to USA. GM has bog expectation from the Paris motor Show. It wants to establish the Chevrolet brand in Europe.
