SRINAGAR - As an all-party delegation commenced its two-day visit to the State, it largely remained a peaceful day in the Valley barring a incident of stone pelting in Nathipora area.

Five people were injured at Nathipora, Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district when police resorted to tear gas shelling to quell the protestors.

Police said a “mob” resorted to heavy stone pelting on the forces.

“In an effort to bring the situation under control, five people were injured. Two of them were referred to Srinagar hospital.

Situation in the area is now under control,” police said. (ANI)
