Oval Office makeoever to debut in Iraq speech

WASHINGTON — When President Barack Obama addresses the nation on Iraq, the Oval Office setting will be sporting a new look.

There’s new wallpaper, a new rug, new chairs and a new coffee table. The White House allowed photographers to get a glimpse Tuesday ahead of the scheduled 8 p.m. EDT speech.

Presidents typically put their own touch on the Oval Office early in their terms. Obama’s makeover took place while he was vacationing with his family on Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.
