Woman reports throwing 3 kids from Philadelphia-to-NJ bridge; authorities unsure if it’s true

Woman claims she threw 3 kids off Philly-NJ bridge
PHILADELPHIA — Authorities are trying to find a woman who reported throwing her newborn and two young children off a bridge connecting New Jersey and Philadelphia.
Officials don’t know if the woman was telling the truth.
The Coast Guard, police and firefighters are searching the Delaware River. Authorities say they also are looking for the woman, Michelle Perez, of Camden, N.J.
The Coast Guard says in a statement says it got a call around 4 a.m. Tuesday from a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Philadelphia. The nurse said Perez told her she had given birth and thrown the baby into the water from the Ben Franklin Bridge. The Coast Guard says Perez then told another nurse she had also thrown her 4-year-old and 2-year-old children into the river.
