Six injured in a bomb explosion in Imphal

IMPHAL - Six people were injured after a bomb exploded at Ghari Mayai Leikai, around seven kilometers away from Imphal on Friday evening.

Ingocha Singh, Inspector of Lamphelpat Police Station said that explosion took place when a grenade was thrown at a steel factory.

“Six got injured including a woman, of who two are critical,” said Ingocha. he injured were immediately rushed to the emergency ward of RIMS (Regional Institute of Medical Sciences) at Lamphelpat.

Two out of the six injured are said to be in critical state and have been further shifted to Shija Hospital at Langol.

The reason behind the explosion is still not known. (ANI)
