Three injured in Imphal bomb explosion

IMPHAL - Three persons were injured when suspected militants exploded a grenade in front of a private clinic here on Tuesday.

Some unidentified persons lobbed a grenade into a parking slot of the Langol View clinic in Imphal.

The injured have been identified as Laikangbam Ibochou Singh, Yengkhom Birchandra Singh and Moidangpok Khunjao.

Nobody has claimed the responsibility for the blast till now.

In yet another incident, the army shot dead a militant in an encounter in the Maibam Palli area of Imphal West district.

A countrymade 9mm pistol with four live rounds of ammunition, a hand grenade and a mobile phone was recovered from the body of the deceased. (ANI)
