Biden’s son being moved to Philadelphia hospital

NEWARK, Del. — Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden is being transferred from a Delaware medical center to a hospital in Philadelphia for further observation and testing after a mild stroke.

Biden is the oldest son of Vice President Joe Biden. He remains in stable condition at Christiana Care hospital in Newark. He is alert with full motor and speech skills, according to a statement from the vice president’s office.

The statement says Beau Biden is to be transferred Tuesday afternoon to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

The statement says the entire family is thankful to the doctors who have cared for Beau Biden.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says Vice President Joe Biden’s son Beau is being transferred to a Philadelphia hospital for further observation and examination after suffering a mild stroke.

Beau Biden, who is Delaware’s attorney general, was scheduled to be moved Tuesday afternoon from Delaware to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He was said to be in stable condition and alert, with full motor and speech skills.
