Holder identifies NY car bomb suspect

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder says Customs agents have arrested Faisal Shahzad in connection with the failed plot to detonate a car bomb in New York’s Times Square.

Holder says Shahzad was arrested late Monday as he tried to board a flight to Dubai leaving from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The attorney general described Shahzad as an American citizen. He did not release information on Shahzad’s home town.
