TORONTO - Two Winnipeg teachers, who were suspended with pay after they simulated a lap dance at a student rally, will now no longer be paid while they wait to learn their fate.

Mike Babinsky, a school board trustee, revealed the two teachers were told in early March that their suspensions would be changed to be without pay, reports the Globe and Mail.

The male and female teachers made sexually suggestive motions during a pep rally at Churchill High School in February, although they remained fully clothed.

The dance was caught on video, and prompted calls from some parents for the teachers to be fired.

The Winnipeg School Division is deciding whether to take further disciplinary action, but all discussions have been held behind closed doors.

Babinsky says he has no idea when a final decision will be made. (ANI)
