PERTH - A court in Perth is likely to charger a 22-year-old Indian student with the murder of two other Indians after a fight over money.

According to news.com.au, a 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man died after an argument about living arrangements and financial matters ended in violence at a rented unit in Morley, in Perth’s east, at about 4 a.m. Perth time on Friday.

Detective Inspector David Bryson said early investigations pointed to a dispute over money as the trigger for the incident.

“Essentially that’s it - there’s been a dispute about money and things have obviously escalated,” he told reporters.

The Major Crime Squad confirmed all three men involved in the altercation were Indian nationals.

The two deceased men both held current overseas student visas, while the 22-year-old was living in Australia on an international student visa.

The deceased men’s names would not be released until relatives in India had been notified, a statement from Western Australia Police said. (ANI)
