Soren to discuss Naxal issue with Chidambaram

NEW DELHI - Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren will discuss the Naxal issue in his state with Union Home Minister P Chidambaram today.
Deputy Chief Minister Raghuvar Das told media persons in Ranchi on Wednesday; ” We are meeting the Union Home Minister tomorrow. The state is doing everything to contain the Naxal menace.”
The delegation would ask the Centre what steps it wanted the Jharkhand Government to take on the Naxal issue, he added.
Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahato will also be a part of the delegation meeting Chidambaram.
Jharkhand Director General of Police (DGP) Niaz Ahmed had said that the state police is preparing for a major operation against Naxalites. (ANI)
