JORHAT - Multinational brands, foreign banks and investors from across the country have flocked to Jorhat to tap the potential of the region as the militancy has declined in Assam.

JORHAT - The second edition of the three-day Assam Tea Tourism Festival 2010 began in Assam's Jorhat District, aiming to boost tourism in the State and promoting Assam's 200-year old tea industry.

JORHAT - A two-day drama festival was held at theater hall here recently, highlighting various issues of public interest.

JORHAT - Annoyed by the long spell of militancy in their State, people in Assam are not just eager to see peace prevailing in the State but many of them are actively working to ensuring this.

JORHAT - All Tai Ahom Student Union (ATASU), a student's wing in Jorhat, Assam staged a peaceful sit-in protest, against the influx of Bangladeshi immigrants in the region.
