KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysian Indian Congress president, G. Palanivel has requested the government to provide a second Tamil news slot on Radio Televisyen Malaysia that may focus exclusively on the community issues.

The 24-hour Indian radio channel, RTM’s Minnal FM is also requested to provide breaking news between songs and programmes.

Palanivel suggested that RTM emulate the famous Tamil TV programme on Makkal TV, Malarum Bhoomi, that encourages small-scale agriculture, and can bring in local farmers to share their experiences. (ANI)
