Three Maoists arrested in Chhattisgarh

BHANUPRATAPPUR - Police arrested three Maoists in Bhanupratappur in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.

The Maoists were nabbed on a tip from Bheela village in Kanker district.

“The arrested Maoists were involved in activities like obstructing roads, exploding a mobile phone tower, planting explosives in roads and burning earthmoving vehicles meant for the construction of roads, said A. K. Kiri, station house officer (SHO) of Bhanupratappur police station.

“During investigations, they revealed that they were involved in the burning of a vehicle. They have confessed to that. They have been booked in four different criminal cases,” he added.

Police have seized threat letters and Maoist literature from them. (ANI)
