KUALA LUMPUR - A male Indian artist who poses in the nude is a hit at an art exhibition in Singapore.

Venkanna, from Hyderabad in India, was featured as part of a “performance” at the Art Stage Singapore exhibition being held at Marina Bay Sands until Sunday, reports the Star Online.

He said that not too many people stared at him out of shyness, and that he wasn’t ridiculed by anyone.

According to Sin Chew Daily, more than 350 people took pictures with him, sitting in a booth in front of a painting by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo titled “The Two Fridas” - which shows two women seated and holding hands.

The event organiser had sought permission from the Media Development Authority for the exhibit featuring Venkanna in the nude.

The exhibit was also blocked from general view by putting a veil around the booth. (ANI)
