LAHORE - A massive silver ring, which was crafted by 10 workers over 70 days in this Pakistani city and weighs 71.68 kg, has set a Guinness world record.

Mohammad Amin Saleem of Lahore’s old city said the ring has an inner diameter of 85cm and it is made of 97.83 percent pure silver.

Dawn reported that the Guinness Book of World Records has issued a certificate to Saleem.

I had earlier prepared a 74.6 kg ring…but it was not included in the Guinness book. Then I decided to make another ring and got exact specifications from the Guinness to ensure a place for my creation in the book, Saleem was quoted as saying.
