RANCHI - Jharkhand police arrested three Maoists including a woman here on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, the 133 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Forces (CRPF) and the district police arrested the Maoists from Tamar-Arki road.

Four quintals of explosives and a large number of gelatin sticks were recovered from the rebels, police said, adding that they suspected the rebels intended to disrupt the ongoing panchayat polls.

The State is conducting village-level polls for the first time since it was carved out of Bihar State in 2000. (ANI)
