SYDNEY - Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin’s political skills have once again come under the scanner after she referred to North Korea as being “America’s ally”.

Palin, 46, said on a radio show that America should support North Korea in a conflict started on November 23 when the Kim Jong Il-led nation bombed a small South Korean island without provocation.

She was asked how she would handle the diplomatic standoff that has developed since the deadly bombing.

“Obviously, we’ve got to stand with our North Korean allies. We’re bound to by treaty…” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted her as saying.

She was promptly corrected by the interviewer, and she tried to make it sound like it was a slip of the tongue.

“Eh, yeah. And we’re also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes,” she stated. (ANI)
