Maoists kill two villagers in West Midnapore

WEST MIDNAPORE - Suspected Maoists killed two villagers in West Bengal’s West Midnapore District on Monday.

Photon Faren, the brother of one of the villager killed, said the Maoists kidnapped seven villagers from Garmal village and killed two of them.

“I was not there when the incident took place, I had gone to Midnapore. The rest of the people were the in the village. The Maoists kidnapped seven persons from the village by beating them. They killed two of them,” he said.

Photon Faren further said the Maoists have, however, released the five other villagers.

The villagers killed have been identified as Phulka Faren (32) and Kalipada Tudu (30). (ANI)
