Security tight in Assam to check militant attacks

BATASIPUR - The Assam Government has tightened security across the state after the rebel National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) killed several people.

Security personnel are patrolling villages and roads to curb militancy.

The NDFB, gunned down 19 people and left critically injured several others in four coordinated attacks across the state.

The NDFB has warned the authorities that it would take revenge for the killing of 20 cadre by security forces.

The militant attacks have triggered fear among villagers. (ANI)
