DANTEWADA - Chhattisgarh Police took into its custody two suspected Maoists with arms and ammunitions here on Thursday.

Dantewada Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) SRP Kaluri said the police had prior information about Maoists and their movements that helped them in nabbing the two Maoists in the region.

It has been reported that the police had prior information about the female Maoist cadre being unwell and staying with another Maoist named Arjun.

“A police party was sent to Chhattisgarh-Orissa border. At night, near the Tulsi Dongri hillside, we found them resting. The Maoist named Arjun and along with him we successfully arrested a female Maoist,” said Kaluri.

Both the arrested Maoists have been going under police interrogation. (ANI)
