Two Maoists arrested in Gaya

GAYA - Two Maoists were arrested by the Bihar Police in Gaya during a police raid in some areas keeping in view the security during the ongoing elections in the State.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amit Lodha said: “Special team of Gaya police has arrested two hardcore Maoists. One is Sudarshan Yadav alias Fidayak Ji who belongs to Roshanganj block. The bomb blast that took place in Banke Bazaar block a few days back, he (Sudarshan Yadav) was a part of that incident and was aware about the whole incident,” said Lodha.

“He is a part of Sheetal Yadav’s Maoist group. He has provided us with a lot of information like where all have they placed the bombs. Second one arrested is Parshuram, who is a Maoist Communist Centre (MCC) member,” he added.

Lodha further said that the police department is sure that the ongoing elections will be conducted peacefully.

Bihar is in the midst of six-phase polling for the 243 assembly seats. (ANI)
