Korean plane makes emergency landing in Istanbul

ANKARA, Turkey — An airport official says a Korean Air plane has made an emergency landing at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport.

The official said the Airbus 330, bound for Tel Aviv from Seoul, changed its course for Istanbul Tuesday because of a crack on its windscreen. She spoke on condition of anonymity because she was not authorized to speak to journalists.

The plane landed safely and no one was hurt.

There was no immediate information on the number of passengers on board.
