Two militants arrested in Assam

HAFLONG - Police have arrested two militants of the Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) from Mahur town near the Haflong hill station in Assam.

The duo identified as Thancha Khingsai and Lansen Kuki, both in their twenties, were caught on the basis of a tip off received by police on August 30.

The militants led the police to a place where they had stored their arms and ammunition said A K Sinha, Additional Superintendent of Police.

An AK 47 Rifle and loaded magazines and 58 live cartridges were recovered. By Peter Alex Todd (ANI)
